Modi@2 — 58% of promises made in Parliament by ministers not acted upon: India Spend

Broken promises. They talk a big talk and thats about it! #guyssuck: Andhrites have always wondered if there is any sanctity to PM’s promises made on the floor of the parliament. Manmohan singh promised special category status to Andhra and a small planning body like Niti Aayog said ‘not possible’.

But now it comes out that Parliament promises have no sanctity at all. India Spend reports that 58% of promises made by central ministers in PARLIAMENT in the last 2 years have not been acted at all. If this is the status of Parliament promises, one wonders what will happen to promises made in election rallies. God save we Indians.

Eight ministries have not acted on 80% of assurances to the Parliament; three ministries have implemented more than 75% of assurances given to the Parliament.

The Prime Minister’s Office gave one assurance that it would release reports of performance and evaluation system of ministries for 2013-14 to the 16th Lok Sabha, and has not fulfilled it since 2014.
