Pattiseema lift irrigation has been in controversies. The reasons being 1)Some said the project is not technically feasible. 2) Some others said that if Godavari water is diverted to Krishna, Godavari districts will see water shortage.

The idea behind the project was simple but brilliant. Excess Godavari water was draining into the sea which is criminal waste of this precious resource while many parts of the state are water scarce. So divert excess Godavari water to Krishna and divert the original Krishna water to Rayalaseema districts. Chandrababu vowed to finish the project at the earliest. And that has happened today proving all sceptics and some political parties wrong. Here are the details.
