Economic times reports : ” Days ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Japan, the two countries are engaged in talks for a key strategic collaboration. Indian Rare Earth (IREL), a state-owned company under Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), is poised to supply raw materials to a proposed new Japanese facility for producing rare earth materials in Vizag.

R N Patra, chairman and managing director of IREL, confirmed the development. “Discussions are on between Japan and India for an alliance in the area. ”
